Andrée Blais Recognized as a West Trailblazer for 2022
Andrée Blais was recognized by The American Lawyer as one of its “West Trailblazers” for 2022. The publication recognized a handful of lawyers from across the Western region of the U.S.—defined as Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming—who are “truly agents of change.”
During her interview with American Lawyer, Andrée talked about her essential work on a number of high profile projects, commenting, “I am fortunate to work with some of the nation’s largest and most progressive public agencies to find innovative ways to move their most complicated and transformative projects forward." She continued, "Examples are LA Metro’s first application of the PDA (progressive P3) delivery method to develop the approximately $6 billion to $10 billion Sepulveda Pass Rail Transit project through one of the most congested interstate highway corridors in the nation; and the City of Los Angeles’ $4.9 billion automated people mover (APM) train system P3 project to ease access in and out of the Los Angeles International Airport.”
Andrée added that she appreciates the results of her work because “the alternative delivery projects that I have had the privilege to work on will have long standing impacts on the communities they serve – e.g., significantly improving mobility and connectivity for residents of the City of Los Angeles and Los Angeles County, and providing facilities for researchers and thousands of students.”
