Perspective and impact. Those are qualities that set us apart.
We created Nossaman Consults because during more than 80 years as an institution, clients have sought out our practitioners for their strategic capabilities and big-picture perspective.
Clients look to us to actively participate in critical management solutions, effective government decision making, timely and optimized regulatory outcomes and the clear articulation of cross-disciplinary strategies. And we are humbled that they return time and time again.
We deliver success, not only due to deep expertise and many years of experience, but because of diverse backgrounds and perspectives gained from leading roles we play in key market sectors—trade associations, corporate constituents, supporting academic research programs, applicable government agencies at all levels and essential technical and financial advisory firms—all outside the traditional practice of law.
Coupling perspective, understanding and expertise is powerful. We stand ready to empower your next step forward.
Government Relations Services
Planning and successfully executing on a strategy for a desired governmental outcome—be it grant funding, regulatory, policy or proprietary—can be straightforward or multi-faceted, short term or patiently carried out over longer political windows of opportunity. Among the types of clients that have benefitted from our talents are non-profits, trade associations, governmental entities and private industry participants.
We have many tools in our toolbox and know when to use them to maximum effect. Sometimes that means a low-key approach working with well-placed individuals with whom we have deep-rooted relationships. Other times we advise on building a team that includes leveraging off the impact that other market participants can bring.
Our full-service government relations and regulations consultants offer the following services, creating a true “one-stop-shop”:
- Representing entities in front of state and federal government, advocating for their policy and funding goals;
- Standing up new, separate advocacy organizations to highlight and drive policy on discrete pieces of an agenda or particular aspects of significant legislation;
- Participating in the process for or against a ballot measure;
- Engagement in political campaigns on all levels, including through independent expenditure campaigns or direct political giving programs, in a compliant manner; and
- Creation and implementation of strategic communication plans regarding the public policy aspects of clients’ government dilemmas, hearings or investigations.
