RFQ For Package 4 of East County Advanced Water Purification Project Highlighted
Nossaman’s client, the East County Advanced Water Purification (AWP) Joint Powers Authority, was featured in Inframation regarding the release of an RFQ for Package 4 of the East County AWP project. Package 4 will be procured as a progressive design-build contract and the entire East County AWP project, inclusive of Package 4, is estimated to cost between $650 million and $700 million, Inframation reported. This estimate is subject to refinement once Package 4’s scope and approvals are finalized.
The article quotes Rebecca Abbott, Package 4’s project manager, who states that Package 4 is the “latest package being procured jointly by the city of San Diego and the [East County] AWP Joint Powers Authority,” which will “create a potable reuse project in East San Diego County (East County) that will create a new drinking water supply and reduce the region’s dependence on imported water.”
Inframation added that the “new water supply will provide approximately 30% of East County’s water demand.”
For Nossaman, Elizabeth Cousins is leading the representation.
