Nossaman Team Secures Key Win for Exposition Metro Line Construction Authority

Irvine, CA (March 2, 2011) - Nossaman announced today that its team achieved a significant victory on behalf of its client, Exposition Metro Line Construction Authority -- the agency responsible for the planning and construction of the Exposition light rail transit project from downtown Los Angeles to Santa Monica.  The Court found that the Authority complied with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) in its approval of the second (and final) phase of a light rail line project. 
 
The lawsuit was brought by a group of residents who were dissatisfied with the route selected for the project. The first phase, which is nearing completion, runs from downtown Los Angeles to Culver City. The second phase will extend the line from Culver City to Santa Monica.
