Elizabeth Cousins Recognized as One of California’s Top Women Lawyers
Elizabeth Cousins was recognized by the Daily Journal as one of California's “Top Women Lawyers” (subscription required) for 2021. Each year, the Daily Journal recognizes a handful of female lawyers from across the state whose work has had a profound impact.
The Daily Journal noted Elizabeth’s work as lead attorney on “transactions that [seek] innovative solutions to mounting water shortages” in the state. It highlights her recent work on the East County Advanced Water Purification project in East San Diego County, noting that the project “reached a milestone” in 2020 and that the roughly $700 million project will “develop four progressive design-build operation packages to provide East San Diego County with a new, safe, sustainable and drought-proof water supply.”
The article also mentions her work on the City of Los Angeles’ Advanced Water Purification Facility, which will create “a system at the Hyperion Water Reclamation Plant to help fulfill the City’s long term water management objective of fully reusing its water supplies.”
