Allan Ickowitz Appointed to Financial Lawyers Conference Board of Governors
Los Angeles, CA (July 28, 2010) – Today, Nossaman announced that law firm Partner Allan Ickowitz was appointed to the Financial Lawyers Conference (FLC) Board of Governors. A non-profit organization comprised primarily of attorneys from Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego Counties, the Financial Lawyers Conference was formed in 1962 by former Standard Financial General Counsel, Jay Levinson.
FLC sponsors monthly meetings where members discuss current issues relating to finance, banking, commercial law, and bankruptcy. Additionally, the FLC hosts an annual seminar for approximately 60 delegates, which is led by a nationally recognized moderator and makes an in-depth study of a commercial law or bankruptcy topic.
Allan Ickowitz is Co-Chair of the firm's Financial Services and Bankruptcy Practice Group and specializes in bankruptcy, creditors' rights and workouts including commercial, real estate and related litigation. He has over 30 years of experience in insolvency matters involving financing transactions, real estate, energy, utility, transportation, communications, healthcare, environmental manufacturing, environmental and other transactions. Mr. Ickowitz earned B.A. and J.D. degrees from Columbia University.
Most recently, Allan represented a group of South Korean investors in the purchase of a San Francisco office tower occupied by Wells Fargo & Co. for $333 million, the city's biggest commercial property deal in three years.
