SECURE 2.0: A Desk Reference for Governmental Plans
Michelle McCarthy was a contributing author for the recently released National Conference on Public Employee Retirement Systems (NCPERS) publication SECURE 2.0: A Desk Reference for Governmental Plans.
Since the SECURE 2.0 Act was signed into law, retirement plan fiduciaries have been working to understand the specific changes that will impact their plans, employees and retirees. The legislation included approximately 90 separate provisions and impacts virtually all aspects of retirement savings for American workers. The SECURE 2.0 Desk Reference provides guidance on the provisions most likely to impact public retirement systems. The report includes action steps and amendment deadlines, as well as the latest IRS guidance on relevant provisions.
Established in 1941, NCPERS is the largest trade association working on behalf of public sector retirement systems, industry stakeholders—including unions and plan sponsors—and the service providers that support them.
