2019 Public-Private Partnership Conference and Expo
Barney Allison participated in "Public Buildings 101: The What, Why, and How" during the 2019 Public-Private Partnership Conference and Expo on March 4, 2019 in Dallas, TX. The session highlighted case studies and lessons learned from U.S. P3 public building efforts. On March 5th, he was also a panelist for "A Lawyer and an Engineer Walk into a P3 Contract…Technical Documents Best Practices," a roundtable discussion on successful strategies to work technical teams and produce strong technical specifications, on-tract drawings, and reference document packages for projects.
Also on March 5th, Tricia de la Peña moderated "Paving the Way to the Future: Optimizing Transportation Projects for P3 Delivery." During the session, panelists utilized case studies to discuss the risks and benefits associated with design optimization, as well as security products for these risks. Panelists included representatives from a concessionaire, a department of transportation, the federal Highways Administration, and a risk management firm.
