NCPPP's 2018 P3Bootcamp
Barney Allison and Fred Kessler spoke during the National Council for Public-Private Partnerships’ (NCPPP) P3Bootcamp on October 22, 2018 in Phoenix, Arizona. This program was an intensive one-day learning session that taught public- and private-sector leaders how partnerships work and the proven strategies for assembling successful projects.
Barney co-presented "The Framework of Public-Private Partnerships & First Steps in the Process." He also discussed the tools available, and the key elements, issues, and structures involved, in financing a P3 during "P3 Financing."
Fred co-presented "Identifying and Developing a P3 Project" and spoke on evaluating a project’s suitability as a P3 candidate, different P3 approaches, and formulating projects based on the agency’s needs. Fred also presented "The Procurement Process/Best Practices" during which he gave an overview of the procurement process and best practices in terms of running a transparent procurement, coordinating the timing with the status of the environmental/permitting process, and more.
