Two Nossaman Partners Named 2016 "Top Women Lawyers"
Nossaman partners Mary Lynn Coffee and Ashley Dunning were recognized by the Daily Journal as being among California's Top 100 Women Lawyers for 2016.
Ms. Coffee, a Partner in Nossaman’s Environment and Land Use Practice Group, was recognized for her work helping water agencies in Ventura County and San Jose in CEQA review and preparing for permitting of projects designed to directly and indirectly recycle wastewater back into clean drinking water. Regarding her work on water matters, Ms. Coffee stated that the drought and climate change have brought a lot of these recycled water technologies to the fore because they are critical to assuring a sustainable supply. The Daily Journal also highlighted her work advising the California High Speed Rail Authority on NEPA and environmental permitting issues.
Ms. Dunning, the Co-Chair of the Public Pension and Investments Group, was lauded for her work with some of California’s largest public retirement systems on a variety of matters—including her representation of the Marin County Employees’ Retirement Association against various county employee unions before the 1st District Court of Appeal. Also noted was her role as the leader of Nossaman’s Women’s Affinity Group, which is part of the Firm’s diversity committee.
