O.C. Environmental Attorney Recognized

Rob Thornton is featured in The Orange County Register article, "O.C. environmental attorney recognized," which discusses his recent recognition by United States Lawyer Rankings. In April he was named one of the top three environmental lawyers in the country for the 5th consecutive year.

The article includes mention of Rob's environmental work for large infrastructure projects and in the ongoing litigation over water delivery from the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. Regarding disputes in Orange County he says, "there's been less conflict about the environment in Orange County than in other communities. This county has been more proactive. They had the first natural community conservation plan for a 38,000-acre preserve, and have very sophisticated water reclamation treatment plants." He added, "Open space here is extensive, and water conservation in Orange County is probably the best in the nation in terms of reclaiming water for household use. And they've been doing this for quite a while."
