Yarema is quoted in the Public Works Financing article, "Obama Stimulus Complicates Highway Reauthorization," as saying "The stimulus has the potential for doing real harm. It will potentially convince a lot of people that we've solved the transportation funding problem." According to the article any benefits of the stimulus package's fast-track deficit spending on highway and rail infrastructure would likely be offset by changes to the surface transportation act (SAFETEA-LU) reauthorization.
