Nossaman Wins Immediate Rescission of Medicare Decertification Decision on Behalf of Ambulatory Surgery Center

Sacramento, CA (December 13, 2010) - Today, Nossaman announced that the Firm was successful in achieving an immediate rescission of a recent decision of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the agency that oversees the federal Medicare and Medicaid (Medi-Cal) programs. The CMS decision would have terminated an ambulatory surgery center's participation in both the Medicare and Medicaid programs. The facility received an unexpected notice at the end of November that decertification would take place by mid-December.
