Lincoln South Beltway Project Wins “Deal of the Year”

Nossaman would like to congratulate the Nebraska Department of Transportation for the Lincoln South Beltway’s recognition as the Public-Private Partnership Financing "Deal of the Year" by The Bond Buyer. The award recognizes the project’s innovative P3 approach to project delivery and financial structure.

The Bond Buyer notes that “the first-of-its-kind transportation project utilizes an innovative contractor-led build finance structure and delivered the largest single-contract project in the history of the Nebraska Department of Transportation.”

The Lincoln South Beltway project is an 11-mile, four-lane freeway with five interchanges to be built south of the City of Lincoln, connecting regional state Highway N-2 on the east with US-77 on the west. The approximately $328 million project will reduce congestion and improve safety in the South Lincoln area for regional and interstate traffic.

A Nossaman team led by Barney Allison is advising the Nebraska Department of Transportation on the project.
