Infrastructure Partner Nancy Smith Named To Daily Journal's Top 100
Nancy Smith, Partner and Co-Founder of Nossaman’s Infrastructure Practice Group, was recognized as one of the Top 100 lawyers in California for 2016 by The Daily Journal, California’s leading legal newspaper. The Top 100 supplement annually recognizes California lawyers whose work has had an impact in the state and nationally. The Daily Journal noted that Ms. Smith’s work transforms the landscape with light and heavy rail systems around [California] and the country. The paper also noted her leadership on a number of high profile projects including the Metro Gold Line Construction Authority’s 24-mile Foothill Extension Project, which connects L.A’s Union Station eastward through Pasadena to Citrus College Station in Azusa, and opened in early 2016; the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority’s 10.2-mile, $2.3 billion BART Silicon Valley Berrysea Extension, which is slated to open in late 2016; the $2 billion Maryland Department of Transportation/Maryland Transit Administration Purple Line Light Rail System, which will ease travel between the suburbs and Washington, D.C.; and the Orange County Transit Authority’s $900 million I-405 Improvement Project.
