Be On Your Toes When Using Social Media
Nossaman Partner Marco Costales was interviewed for a segment on Los Angeles' KTLA Channel 5 News about the security risks of revealing too much personal information on social networking sites such as Facebook. In the interview for the "Inside the Law" feature, Mr. Costales advises social media users to set their profiles to the sites' highest level of privacy settings, avoid posting detailed personal information such as home addresses that could be used to track bank accounts or social security numbers, and never let the world know when you'll be heading off on an extended vacation. Criminals are on high alert for these types of posts, he warns.
