Ashley Dunning’s Appellate Win for Ventura County Employees’ Retirement Association Highlighted
Ashley Dunning’s win for the Ventura County Employees' Retirement Association (VCERA) was recently highlighted in Law.com’s Employment Law News Alert.
In summarizing her win, Employment Law News noted, “The Second Appellate District affirmed a judgment [and] the court held that the Ventura County Employees' Retirement Association properly amended its policies concerning members' accrued annual leave time in accordance with the California Public Employees' Pension Reform Act of 2013 (PEPRA).” The case was Ventura County Employees' Retirement Association v. Criminal Justice Attorneys Association of Ventura County.
Ashley and Alex Westerfield—who also represented VCERA in the matter—wrote about the decision in their recent Nossaman eAlert, Retirement Board’s Limits on Inclusion of “Straddled” Leave Cashouts in Retirement Allowance Determinations Affirmed by Second DCA.
