Shant Boyajian Quoted In Law360 And Inspiratia On Trump Administration's Infrastructure Plan

Shant Boyajian, an Associate in Nossaman’s Infrastructure Practice Group and the lead author and negotiator on the  Fixing America’s Surface Transportation (FAST) Act—the largest infrastructure bill in US history—was quoted in Law360 and Inspiratia on the impact of the Trump Administration’s proposed infrastructure plan.

In the Inspiratia article—Trump Unleashes Infra Plan, Market Responds—Mr. Boyajian noted that the plan creates a unique opportunity for Congress. Congress is often constrained to reforming current programs instead of being free to think big thoughts, he said. This administration has created an opportunity to have a debate on Capitol Hill apart from the normal authorization process.

In the Law360 article— 4 Takeaways From Trump’s $200 Billion Infrastructure Blueprint —Mr. Boyajian opined that the Highway Trust Fund, needs to be addressed [and] a lot of the members [of Congress] that are going to be tasked with translating these ideas into legislative language have had a long track record [in negotiating infrastructure funding].
