In a Sacramento Business Journal article, "Why health-care lawyers in Sacramento are swamped with work," Nossaman partner Mary Antoine discussed the boom in work for Sacramento health care attorneys as a result of the Affordable Care Act.

In the article, Ms. Antoine said the volume of health plan business at the firm "has probably doubled" under the Affordable Care Act because of Medi-Cal managed care. "Our work has increased significantly as a result of Obamacare and Medi-Cal expansion," she said. "Traditional health plan clients have not only expanded their Medi-Cal membership base, but also the services they provide."
