Nossaman Named to the "Midsize Hot List" for the Third Time
The National Law Journal has named Nossaman to its "2015 Midsize Hot List," a special feature that highlights 20 leading midsize law firms across the country. This is the third time overall and the second year in a row that Nossaman has been named to the list. Nossaman was previously selected for the Midsize Hot List in 2011 and 2014.
For the list, editors at the National Law Journal selected firms ranging in size from 51 to 150 attorneys that "excel at deal making, litigation, counseling and other legal services," and "have demonstrated creative strategies that keep them competitive against much larger law firms...[and] build cultures that attract and retain top talent."
This year's report highlights Nossaman's ongoing work with government agencies that turn to the Firm for help getting road, rail and other large-scale projects funded and built, and also notes the Firm's strength on the infrastructure and environmental fronts. Commenting on the Firm's Infrastructure Practice Group, Managing Partner George Joseph said, "It's a critical practice, because there's tremendous need for infrastructure development — both new and rebuilding infrastructure."
The report recognizes Nossaman's work as lead outside counsel for the Florida Department of Transportation on the state's $2.3 billion I-4 Ultimate Project, which began construction in 2015; and the Firm's victory in the Ninth Circuit for the City and County of Honolulu, which cleared the way for the $5 billion, 20-mile Honolulu Rail Transit Project.
Additionally, the report highlights Nossaman's strategy of growing strategically through key lateral hires that add immediate value on client engagements.
