Nossaman Partner Paul Weiland was quoted in the Tahoe Daily Tribune article, "Judge signs stipulation in lawsuit against Forest Service" regarding the U.S. Forest Service's agreement to halt work and consult with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on the potential impacts of a fuels reduction project near Upper Echo Lake on the Sierra Nevada yellow-legged frog, an animal that was recently placed on the endangered species list in April.  Mr. Weiland represents the plaintiff in the lawsuit, which also claims that the Forest Service violated the National Environmental Policy Act.

"Certainly it is welcome news that they were able to stop the project and address the issues with the project impacts with the Fish and Wildlife Service," Mr. Weiland said.

His quote also appeared in similar stories published by multiple news outlets, including The Fresno Bee, Nature World News, NBC - KNTV, and KCRA Sacramento.
