Nossaman Environmental Partners Noted In Law360 For Burying Beetle Suit Against FWS

Nossaman Environment and Land Use Practice Group Chair Paul Weiland was noted in the Law360 article, Industry Groups Sue FWS To Delist Endangered Beetle.  Mr. Weiland and a colleague were highlighted for their representation of a number of nonprofit and industry groups - including the American Stewards of Liberty, the Independent Petroleum Association of America and the Osage Producers Association - in a lawsuit recently filed in Oklahoma Federal Court against the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS). The lawsuit argues that the FWS has not timely made a 12-month finding on a petition to remove the American burying beetle from the endangered species and should do so. The finding was originally due in August 2016.
