Nossaman's Cybersecurity Symposium Featured In Daily Journal, Litigation Chair David Graeler Quoted
Nossaman’s 2015 Cybersecurity Symposium, co-hosted by the University of California, Irvine School of Law on October 12th in Los Angeles, CA, was the subject of the Daily Journal story: Cybersecurity Experts Sound Off On Industry. The symposium, the first of three Nossaman will be co-hosting with UC Irvine, brought together experts in the field to discuss cybersecurity, data breach, privacy and their implications on the private and public sectors. The Daily Journal noted that Nossaman is hosting these symposia because of an increase in client needs in this area. David Graeler, Chair of Nossaman’s Litigation Practice Group, commented that Over the past few years, our clients in both the public and private sector have faced more frequent challenges involving privacy and data security. He also pointed out that these events are a way to help keep the Firm’s clients aware of emerging issues in cybersecurity, and to foster discussion between experts in the field. UC Irvine School of Law Dean Erwin Chemerinsky presented at the symposium, and a number of panels featuring in-house counsel from leading companies such as Google, Deloitte, KPMG, Sony, Square and Verizon, as well as Nossaman attorneys and UC Irvine faculty discussed a wide array of best practices.
