Rob Thornton and Samantha Murray presented "Recent Developments in CEQA Law & Climate Change" during the Orange County Bar Association's Environmental Law Section Meeting on July 10, 2023.

During the presentation, Rob and Samantha examined how the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) has been adapted to address climate change and how courts are interpreting climate issues when reviewing CEQA analysis. The program began with an overview of California's climate change legal landscape and identified the types of projects that are likely to raise climate change legal issues. Rob and Samantha also discussed recent CEQA developments, focusing on the climate amendments to the CEQA guidelines and on case law that addresses climate issues.
