Randy Boyer presented "New Privacy Laws for Employers Take Effect January 1: Carriers’ Obligations and Drivers’ Rights Under the California Privacy Rights Act" to members of the American Trucking Associations on November 15, 2022.

Beginning January 1, 2023, the consumer privacy protections created by the California Consumer Privacy Act and the California Privacy Rights Act will begin to operate within employment relationships. During this webinar, Randy provided an overview of the basic privacy and data security obligations motor carriers have regarding the driver information they collect, store and use regarding their drivers and the new rights drivers have with respect to controlling that information.
