Building Michigan’s Infrastructure Through P3s
Corey Boock and Elizabeth Cousins moderated panels at the National Council for Public-Private Partnership’s P3 Showcase, Building Michigan’s Infrastructure Through P3s, in Lansing, Michigan on December 3, 2019. The event focused on the growing portfolio of infrastructure challenges, such as roads, bridges, stormwater and wastewater facilities, university housing and other social infrastructure, that needs to be built or renovated in the state and across the country.
Corey moderated “Funding and Financing the Project,” a discussion exploring alternative funding options and financing a public-private partnership. In addition, it analyzed traditional public sector financing, compared it to private sector financing and discussed the benefits and drawbacks of both.
Elizabeth moderated “Understanding Michigan’s Regulations & P3 Water Infrastructure Challenges.” At this session, expert panelists examined the unique challenges faced when developing P3 water projects in the region.
