Physician Heal Thyself: How Well-Being Committees Can Really Help
Nossaman, in conjunction with the Orange County Medical Association (OCMA) and California Public Protection & Physician Health, Inc. (CPPPH), hosted "Physician Heal Thyself: How Well-Being Committees Can Really Help." This complimentary seminar featured Michel Sucher, MD, a nationally known expert in addiction, along with Carlo Coppo of DiCaro, Coppo and Popcke and Tom Curtis of Nossaman, both of whom are members of the CPPPH Advisory Group of Attorneys.
Dr. Sucher, Carlo and Tom discussed and responded to questions about the medical and legal challenges that Well-Being Committees must overcome to become trusted, effective resources, able to assist physicians struggling with stress, substance abuse and disruptive behavior. Attendees had the chance to participate in Q&A sessions as well as network with colleagues during the evening reception.
