Rules of the Road for Compliance with the Brown Act and Robert’s Rules of Order
On January 29, 2016, Ashley Dunning facilitated a workshop on the Brown Act, the law that guarantees the public's right to participate in meetings of local legislative bodies, and Robert's Rules of Order, the manual for parliamentary procedure, for the Central Basin Municipal Water District's (CBMWD) Board of Directors' Special Meeting. This workshop was held in compliance with a non-mandatory recommendation that the directors undergo training every two years. During Ashley's presentation, the Board members had the opportunity to ask further questions.
