Senior Recruiting Specialist (Los Angeles)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Recruiting Specialist to take a lead role in Firm-wide recruiting efforts for associate and counsel attorneys, summer associates and paralegals and to support partner recruiting as needed. The Senior Recruiting Specialist will be an integral member of the Talent Management Department and will work closely with practice leaders and others in firm management to recruit strategic hires. The Senior Recruiting Specialist position is hybrid remote (onsite 2+ days per week), reports to the Attorney Recruiting and Development Director and is located in the Los Angeles office.

The salary range for the position of Senior Recruiting Specialist at Nossaman is $100,000 to $120,000 annually. The successful candidate’s salary for this position is reasonably expected to be set within this range. However, actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including, without limitation, the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing successful recruiting strategies for hiring associates, counsels, summer associates and paralegals to meet the goals outlined in the Firm’s Strategic Plan
  • Working with the Attorney Recruiting and Development Director on partner recruiting initiatives as needed
  • Assessing candidate qualifications and recommending candidates for hiring partner review
  • Drafting job postings and maintaining resumes according to recruiting procedures
  • Maintaining hiring statistics for all legal professionals
  • Ensuring best practices with submission tracking and completion of all Firm forms and applications
  • Overseeing interview scheduling as needed, working in coordination with the Attorney Recruiting Specialist
  • Preparing offer letters, employment contracts and other pre-hire documentation
  • Collaborating with Practice Group Leaders and other hiring partners to identify recruiting needs
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with search firms, recruiters and law schools on a national level
  • Monitoring market trends and keeping Firm Management apprised of trends in attracting and retaining top talent and other relative industry intelligence
  • Other recruiting tasks and projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required; JD a plus
  • 8+ years of experience in a lead role recruiting attorneys in a law firm or legal search organization. Experience with partner-level recruiting highly preferred
  • Successful track record of implementing creative, innovative solutions and best practices with recruiting and talent acquisition strategies
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment to build consensus and drive the Firm’s recruiting objectives
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with an ability to collaborate well with all attorneys, administrative management and staff
  • Must demonstrate an executive presence, integrity, confidence and professionalism that will facilitate positive interactions with candidates, attorneys, administrative management and recruiters
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multitask and exercise good judgment under pressure
  • Experience with leveraging social media in conjunction with recruiting
  • Ability to respect, protect and maintain highly confidential and sensitive information
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and detailed knowledge of applicant tracking systems; familiarity with viDesktop / viRecruit a plus
