Senior Infrastructure Engineer (All Offices)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to contribute to the stability, integrity and efficient operation of the Firm’s enterprise systems and networks. Candidates for this position must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft products and datacenter technologies. The Senior Infrastructure Engineer is part of the IT Infrastructure Department that supports all Firm offices and co-location facilities. This position can be hybrid remote or fully remote, with a strong preference in the cities of the Firm’s offices, and reports to the IT Infrastructure Manager.

The salary range for the position of Senior Infrastructure Engineer at Nossaman is $130,000 to $150,000 annually. The successful candidate’s salary for this position is reasonably expected to be set within this range. However, actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including, without limitation, the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Research and recommend enhancements to the system to better serve the needs of the Firm. Evaluate and implement cloud, application and infrastructure technologies
  • Independently manage projects and tasks
  • Manage and execute complex technology transitions such as migrating services from on-prem to cloud, transitioning services from one application to another, major product upgrades, network upgrades, storage replacements, etc.
  • Manage key security functions and systems, include the complete Crowdstrike suite and identity management systems. Serve as an escalation point for the firm’s multiple 24/7/365 external SOC services
  • Assist the IT Support team with management of Windows workstation and server environment, including application integrations, group policies, Microsoft 365, Intune, SCCM, PatchMyPC, etc.
  • Serve as an administrator for email systems (Exchange Online, Mimecast, Proofpoint)
  • Assist with maintenance of network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN and internet connections (Palo Alto, Cisco, Meraki, etc.)
  • Assist with maintenance of virtualized Windows Server datacenter infrastructure
  • Manage consultant and vendor resources and initiatives
  • Serve as a 3rd tier escalation point for system operational issues and provide quality customer service to all of the Firm’s staff
  • Utilize and provide service for ticketing and project management applications, such as FreshService, Asana, or Service now
  • Create and maintain updated documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes and service records
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, is required
  • Industry certifications desirable
  • 7+ years’ experience with MS Active Directory, Entra/AzureAD
  • 7+ years’ experience with Windows Server
  • 7+ years’ experience with server virtualization including deploying VMs
  • 7+ years’ experience with server datacenter hardware or colocation facility
  • 7+ years’ experience with enterprise storage technologies
  • 1+ years’ experience in Microsoft SCCM or equivalent desktop and patch management experience
  • 3+ years’ experience with Networking – Firewalls, Switching, WAN, MPLS, SD-WAN
  • 3+ years’ experience with Citrix or other VDI technologies
  • Prior experience and working knowledge of networking and cloud infrastructure is a strong plus
  • Experience writing Powershell scripts is a strong plus
  • Strong initiative, proactive thinking and time management skills
  • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage concurrent projects with time sensitive deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience supporting large number of end users (200+)
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
  • Prior experience supporting law firm or legal environment preferred
  • Ability to travel domestically occasionally as needed
  • Available to work flexible hours as needed
