Transportation Research Board Annual Workshop on Transportation Law

The Transportation Research Board is hosting its 56th Annual Workshop on Transportation Law in Salt Lake City from July 30 to August 2nd.  Nossaman Partner Brooke Wahlberg will participate in a panel discussion focusing on Endangered Species and Transportation Project Development.  Ms. Wahlberg will be joined by panelists Naomi Kisen, Utah Department of Transportation, and William Sloan, Venable LLP.  The discussion will be moderated by Fred Wagner, Venable LLP.  The 90 minute session will cover compliance with the Endangered Species Act, the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, and other species conservation laws that present challenges to transportation project development throughout the country.

Nossaman Partner Ed Kussy will be moderating an Ethics Session titled, "A Distinguished Lecture, Some Duties You Owe Your Public Client, and An Ethics Free For All," with Adam Sleeter, Federal Highway Administration, and Bruce Smith, Apperson Crump & Maxwell, PLC.  The program will cover important ethics issues including loyalty and confidentiality.
