WASHINGTON D.C. (June 8, 2009) – Today Nossaman announced Brent R. Heberlee joined the firm as a partner in Washington, DC. Mr. Heberlee brings over 20 years of public policy experience to Nossaman, including nearly a decade of Capitol Hill experience working for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV), Senator Richard Bryan (D-NV), and Representative Jim Bilbray (D-NV).
"Moving to Nossaman gives me the opportunity to work with a dynamic group of people here in DC and to offer an expanded array of services and options to my clients," said Mr. Heberlee. "Nossaman is a growing firm with a strong public policy practice, and I've had the good fortune to work with many of the firm's attorneys over the years both as a Hill staffer and a lobbyist."
"Brent is a strong addition to the team," said Public Policy Chair Timothy Jenkins. "His background handling appropriation matters for his public agency clients and his advocacy expertise in the areas of renewable energy development and climate change complements and expands our current practice."
Jenkins added, "Brent is also a seasoned telecom industry veteran, having served as Executive Director of Federal Relations for SBC Communications. A well known entity on Capitol Hill, he most recently managed the Washington, DC office of Lionel Sawyer & Collins, a Nevada-based law firm. We're excited to have him on board."
Mr. Heberlee attended the University of California, Berkeley, earning a B.A. in Political Science and the University of Iowa College of Law, earning a J.D. with distinction.
