Nossaman Partners David Graeler, Thomas Long, Patrick Richard and Rob Thornton were recognized by the National Law Journal as "Litigation Trailblazers and Pioneers" for 2014.

Mr. Thornton was noted for representing public agencies on a variety of environmental matters, including his work with the City and County of Honolulu, where he obtained a victory before the 9th Circuit that allowed for the completion of the $5 billion Honolulu Rail Transit Project.  Mr. Graeler, Mr. Long and Mr. Richard were noted for their work on behalf of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), including their precedent setting $169 million victory for FDIC against the former officers of IndyMac. For this honor, the National Law Journal composed 50 profiles on litigators across the US that "helped make a difference in the fight for justice" and demonstrated "a deep passion and perseverance in pursuit of their mission, having achieved remarkable successes along the way."
