Community Involvement is Valued at Nossaman – Danielle Gensch Elected President of Bethany Center's Board of Directors

San Francisco, CA (March 24, 2009) – Nossaman congratulates Danielle Sveska Gensch on her recent election as President of the Board of Directors of Bethany Center Senior Housing, Inc., a non-profit provider of housing and services to low-income individuals, with an emphasis on the needs of seniors

The multicultural Bethany Center currently operates a Housing and Urban Development (HUD)-funded stand-alone residential building in San Francisco's Mission neighborhood. For over 40 years, the Center has provided support and care to its residents while encouraging them to maintain their independence.

Being involved with the Bethany Center is a clear choice for Ms. Gensch. "I feel very passionately about providing affordable housing, especially in a city like San Francisco, which has such a high cost of living," she says. "The issue is even more significant for older adults, who tend to live on fixed incomes. As a professional working in the real estate industry, I'm glad to offer my practical experience as a resource on affordable housing issues and to work with fellow board members to advance the Center's mission."

Ms. Gensch is a real estate attorney at Nossaman in San Francisco. She represents public agencies, pension funds, corporate entities and developers in a variety of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing and loan transactions. She has also represented developers and public agencies in a variety of public/private real estate financing programs, including low-income housing tax credits, tax increment financing and property tax abatements. Ms. Gensch received a B.S. from Cornell University and a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.
