David Miller will be speaking on a panel for the Self-Help Counties Coalition’s (SHCC) Focus on the Future Conference in October in Indian Wells.  The panel will cover NEPA streamlining in light of recent regulatory developments.  Rob McCann from LSA will serve as the panel Moderator, and Laurie Berman, Director of the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), and Paul Hubler, Director of Government and Community Relations of Alameda Corridor-East (ACE) Project, San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments (SGVCOG), will also serve as panelists to discuss the matter from the perspective of state and local agencies.

The Focus on the Future conference provides a forum for Self-Help Counties and other transportation agencies, elected officials, and the private sector to share experiences, highlight upcoming projects, and interact in a relaxed environment.  The conference continues to be the premier transportation conference in California, attracting more than 800 attendees annually.

The Self-Help Counties Coalition is the organization of 24 local county transportation agencies delivering super majority voter-approved transportation sales tax measures throughout California.  SHCC member agencies are dedicated to keeping the faith of the voting public who provide the authority and the funding to deliver the priority transportation projects Californians depend upon every day.  SHCC as an organization is dedicated to ensuring sound public policy so that the State of California can meet its transportation infrastructure needs.  SHCC works closely with the California Transportation Commission, the California Department of Transportation, elected officials, as well as other public and private sector interests.
