Nossaman Expands Litigation Practice in San Francisco with Trio of Seasoned Attorneys
San Francisco, CA — Nossaman LLP has expanded its Litigation Practice Group in its San Francisco office with the addition of renowned litigation attorneys William Adams, David Lee and Ilse Scott, who join the Firm as Partners. They join from Michelman & Robinson, where Bill served as Managing Partner of the Firm’s San Francisco office, led the Firm’s Commercial and Business Litigation Practice Group and served on its Executive Committee; David served as the Chair of the Firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group; and Ilse served as a member of the Intellectual Property Practice Group.

William is a veteran litigator who brings over two decades of experience representing businesses and partnerships in a range of matters including real estate related issues, claims of commercial fraud and dissolution, misappropriation of trade secrets, unfair business practices, breach of contract, corporate torts and trademark and copyright infringement. He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in more than 45 trials and binding arbitrations, as well as several appeals. He earned his J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law, where he was a Vincent S. Dalsimer Moot Court Competition finalist and moot court board member. During law school, he served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Ronald S.W. Lew of the United States District Court for the Central District of California. He received his B.A., in Rhetoric, from the University of California, Berkeley.

David has over 15 years of litigation experience, and focuses his practice on matters relating to the automotive; Internet, software and technology; and hospitality industries. He handles copyright and trademark claims, trade secrets and Internet domain name disputes. He also provides a variety of business litigation services relating to contractual rights, corporate management and real estate. David received his J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law, where he was Substantive and Survey Editor of the U.S.F. Maritime Law Journal, and a Member of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association (APALSA). He earned his B.A. in English from the University of California, Davis.

Ilse has over a decade of litigation experience, and focuses her practice on complex litigation and intellectual property matters in the hospitality and technology industries that involve trade secrets, trademark, copyright, unfair competition, contractual disputes and business torts. She advises and litigates on behalf of hospitality, internet, software and technology industry clients to protect their intellectual property rights, and defend their interests in high-stakes litigation. Ilse earned her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she was on the Editorial Board of the Virginia Law Review, and a recipient of the Bracewell & Patterson Best Brief Award and a Dillard Fellow. She received her B.A., with distinction, from the University of Virginia.
