A Nossaman team led by Infrastructure Practice Group Partner Geoff Yarema, and including Infrastructure Partner Brian Papernik, and an Infrastructure associate, represented the Angels Flight Railway Foundation and helped it reach a historic, innovative P3 agreement with a team led by ACS Group and including Sener Engineering and Systems. The agreement will put the iconic Angels Flight Railway in downtown Los Angeles back into service.

The press conference announcing this agreement was held on March 1, and Mr. Yarema gave remarks alongside Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, Los Angeles City Councilman Jose Huizar, ACS Infrastructure North American CEO Nuria Haltiwanger and Angels Flight Railway Foundation Board Member Adele Yellin.

Additionally, Mr. Yarema  was quoted in the Los Angeles Times article, "Angels Flight Expected To Reopen By Labor Day, Officials Say."  The story examined the agreement between the Angels Flight  Railway and ACS Group and Sener Engineering and Systems.  In the story, Mr. Yarema is quoted regarding ACS and Sener's role in ensuring ridership for Angels Flight once it reopens.  He states that the parties "will have the job of maximizing 'local and repeat' ridership, advertising the funicular and integrating the line into the local transit network."

Nossaman was also featured in various other publications regarding its work on the agreement and our participation in the press conference, including The Planning Report and The Daily Commerce.  Additionally, CBS Los Angeles ran a segment on the agreement on its evening news program (link here).  Additional media coverage came from the New York Times, Associated Press, Los Angeles Magazine, KTLA-5, KABC-TV, Fox LA, KCET, Los Angeles Daily News, Curbed LA,  InfraAmericas and numerous other media outlets.
