2019 California Association of Environmental Professionals (AEP) State Conference

Tuesday, March 26, 2019
8:45 a.m. PT
Monterey Plaza Hotel | Monterey, CA

Please join Environment & Land Use Partners Ben Rubin and Liz Klebaner at the 2019 California AEP Conference.  Mr. Rubin and Ms. Klebaner will participate on a panel entitled, “Waves of Change: Greenhouse Gas Analysis After the CEQA Guidelines Update,” on Tuesday, March 26, at 8:45 a.m.

They will discuss the changes made in December 2018 by the California Natural Resources Agency, which adopted amendments and additions to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines.  The panel of CEQA litigators and practitioners will focus on whether the final text of section 15064.4, and recent case law, authorize distinct standards of diligence for different classes of projects, and the degree to which scientific and regulatory uncertainty may continue to provide a safe harbor for lead agencies in analyzing long-range climate change impacts under CEQA.

The California AEP was founded in 1974.  The organization is a non-profit association of public and private sector professionals with a common interest in serving the principles underlying CEQA, which include environmental assessment, analysis, public disclosure, and reporting.  For additional details on the conference, and to register, please click here.
